After watching Horror, fantasy, and sci-fi movies showing strange and beautiful eye colors. Almost everyone dreams of having different eye colors. I must tell you that you really should get a prescription for colored contacts, because not only is it against the law to buy contacts without a prescription, even if they have no prescriptive power, but the eye doctor will show you the right way to install lenses and keep them clean. This will keep you from getting an infection. In 2005 the law was passed stating even decorative contacts must have a prescription.
You can find many places that sell colored contact lenses without prescription, especially online. Some of the the sites require that you have a prescription from your eye doctor. I strongly suggest you use the sites because the quality of the contacts and their care are usually better.
Some websites sell all of the ordinary colored contacts, while other websites sell the ordinary and unusual color. These contacts that have the flame like pattern is very beautiful in all colors.
Colors of Colored Contact Lenses
Choosing the color of your contact lenses should be based on your original eye color, skin tones and what you want to say about yourself.
Gray colored lenses work well with any colored eyes, making a hazy lighter color on already light eyes and making a dark mysterious sexy color if you have darker colored eyes, already. Gray contact lenses are popular and many people are looking to get this color.
Types of Color Contacts
There are three types of color contact lenses. The first is the visibility tent which usually come in a light blue or green color, used to help you see or find your contact lenses. Because of the light coloring this tint doesn’t effect the color of your eyes.
The second is are enhancement tints which is a more solid color that is see through. They let some of your natural eye color come through. It’s a more solid color so it enhances the normal eye color. These tints work well with light colored eyes. The slight change may cause someone to think there’s something different about you, but not know what it is.
Thirdly are the color tint lenses (also called opaque contact lenses), which completely changes the color of your eyes. Theatrical lenses fall into this category, such as the lenses used for the weird colors of the were wolves and vampires eyes as they change. Popular special effect contact lenses right now are Mad Hatter contact lenses.
Contact Lens Sizes
There are different size lenses to fit the eyes of anyone. This is where the eye doctor can get the best fit for you. It’s best to go in and get them fitted just for your eyes since these isn’t a universal shape and size of eyes. Also note that the colored part of the lens can slip over the pupil causing a distortion of vision at times.
Do not share contact lenses because the lenses can transmit bacteria that may lead to infections. Like all contact lenses the colored contact lens need to be cleansed properly.
Some websites online will give you a free set of colored contact lenses if you’ll agree to make a video showing how easy contact lenses are to put in the eye and how the new color looks.
I would think hard about the use contacts without having a prescription. Your sight is not something you want to take chances with.
